The Official Home of Competitive Scrabble in Bayelsa
The Bayelsa Scrabble Association is the official body governing competitive Scrabble play in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. We operate in collaboration with the Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF) to promote, develop and advance the sport of Scrabble across the state and the nation.
The Gov. Douye Diri National Scrabble Championship has grown from a state competition into a nationally recognised event attracting top-ranked players from across Nigeria.

Established Under the Patronage of H.E. Governor Douye Diri
The championship was established under the patronage of His Excellency, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, as a platform to identify and celebrate word-game excellence at the national level — backed by the full support of the Bayelsa State Government.
